It is usually based on the individual’s career goals. There are also a few who have achieved high levels of success and are highly valued. This context is influenced by the perceived difficulty and the level of demand for these credentials.
This guide provides a review of the nine most difficult IT certifications in the industry. These credentials include Cloud computing, security, virtualization, and security.
1.Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert – CCIE
Cisco’s CCIE certification is a highly sought-after and top-level certification. This credential is difficult to earn, as less than 3% of Cisco-certified engineers have earned it. This means that less than 1 percent of all networking professionals worldwide have been awarded the certification. This Cisco credential can be used in a variety of areas including Data Center, Collaboration and Security, Routing & switching, Wireless, and Service Provider. One of the most sought-after paths is CCIE R&S. A candidate must pass a two-hour exam and an eight-hour laboratory exam to earn any certification. These tests require students to have a deep understanding and practical knowledge of Network Principles and Infrastructure Services, Layer 2 Technologies and Layer 3 Technologies, Infrastructure Security and VPN Technologies.
2. Project Management Professional – PMP
This PMI credential has been hailed as the gold standard in project management. PMP requires real-world experience in project management. You must prove your project management skills before you can take the certification exam. You must hold a 4-year degree, or a secondary degree with 7,500 hours of project management. A 4-year-old graduate must also complete 4,500 hours. All candidates must also have completed 35 hours of project management training. The four-hour exam contains 200 multiple-choice questions that cover the five stages of project management: initiating, planning and executing, controlling and managing, and closing.
3.Certified Information Systems Security Professional – CISSP
This credential is a vendor neutral security certificate that is intended for professionals who work as security consultants, security managers/auditors, network architects, and security analysts/auditors. The 250-question certification exam covers eight domains: asset, security & risks management, communications & networks security, security engineering and security asse.
